Thank you to everyone who attended our inaugural Cocktail Club last month, which was a huge success! We had a lot of fun trying out Will’s food pairings to some classic cocktails by Jerry Thomas and we even managed to keep all our eyebrows and avoid burning the bar down making the Blue Blazer.
We are excited to announce the next instalment of Cocktail Club, “The Great French Wine Blight: The Fall of Brandy and the Rise of Whisky” on Wednesday, the 14th of October. We’ll delve into the epidemic that wiped out the majority of French grapes and how this forced the world to switch from drinking brandy – the staple tipple of the time – to whisky and how that affected the cocktails and mixology that came out of the late 19th Century.
Tickets are priced at $100 per person, including a selection of cocktails paired expertly with light food accompaniments from Executive Chef Will Eaglesfield. We look forward to seeing you there for a night of cocktails, food, and some quality chat!
